The makers introduced Venus Binkley as one of the new cast members of this “wild bunch.” Venus had become a fan-favorite after his first official interview.

However, his good intentions seem to have fallen on the wrong side as Marcus turned on him. He approached several SUR staff members and told them what Venus had said about them behind their backs. In a confessional, Venus clapped back, saying he could never be that kinda petty. Needless to say, Binkley was heartbroken over Marcus’s petty betrayal.

His first official interview had landed him in the spotlight. It was then that the fandom began to appreciate his quirky personality.

Recent clips have featured Venus working overtime to keep the group together. But behind the smiles and jolly personality lies a great deal of sorrow and a traumatic past. Recently, in a conversation with Lisa Vanderpump, he briefly discussed his past struggles. He emotionally revealed how challenging it was for him to hold on.

When he was doing a photo shoot at Villa Rosa for Gay Pride, Lisa had pulled him aside to check on him. He confided in Lisa and revealed his difficulty getting back into the dating pool due to his past trauma. “Once I did come out of the closet, I felt so rejected by everyone around me that I ended up threatening to k!ll myself, and I got sent to a mental hospital,” he shared.

Lisa herself, having lost her brother to suicide, bonded with him emotionally over this. Venus outlined his difficult life growing up on a farm, where people tormented him for being gay. However, on a positive note, he also shared that hosting Pride had made his dream come true. “Now that is the Venus that I want to know,” Lisa said proudly, smiling.
