When Lisa Vanderpump began her journey as a reality TV star on The Real Housewives franchise, she didn’t know what a big name she’d become. She has successfully been running the Vanderpump Rules spin-off, and it has had 11 seasons by now. To everyone’s surprise, Bravo had announced that there will be a ‘shakeup of some sort’ and there will be some new cast members who will be joining the show.
This update has created quite a frenzy among the fanbase. Everyone has their suspicions and opinions about why such a thing is happening after 11 successful seasons. Well, even the original cast members have responded to the big change that is coming to the show now. Here’s what they had to say and how they have been feeling about the ‘shakeup’:

Vanderpump Rules: Here’s Why The Shakeup Is Happening
The infamous Sandoval scandal caught every Vanderpump Rules fan’s eye when it happened in 2023. That’s when Tom Sandoval was guilty of cheating on his girlfriend of 9 years, Ariana Madix, with another co-star from Vanderpump Rules, Raquel Leviss. Ariana told everyone in the show that they said the affair had been happening for 6 months, but it was actually 7. Things were so heated that the cast took a break from filming for a week, too.
Tom and Raquel also issued statements after the news broke out and apologized for the affair. Then, during the reunion episode, Lala Kent also had a meltdown on air because of Tom’s statement about her to “be real.” For Lala, it was ironic as he was caught cheating. That’s not all, James Kennedy was also found guilty of a domestic violence demeanour. Hence, after so many internal conflicts among the cast members, many feel the shakeup and reboot were necessary.
Vanderpump Rules: Here’s How The OG Cast Members Are Feeling About The Shakeup!
Vanderpump Rules began airing in the year 2013 and had many sucessful seasons. But as mentioned above, the Sandoval Sandal left a bitter taste in everyone’s mouth and affected a lot of relationships. So, for the first time in the history of the show, Bravo as well as Lisa Vanderpump confirmed that there will be a reboot. Hence, Season 12 of the show will feature new cast members.

Earlier, Lisa had been running the show following the storylines of the people working at her restaurants in 2013. They starred in the show for 11 years. This included SUR Restaurant and Lounge, Pump Restaurant, and Tom Tom Restaurant and Bar, in West Hollywood, California. But reports say that the new staff which is currently works there will be taking over the brand new season, all set to film in 2025 itself.
Boss figure and show creator Liza Vanderpump is excited about the new changes and has been embracing them. She has assured fans that the show will stay “dramatic and entertaining” with “chaos and big personalities.” The former couple Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz also reacted to the reboot. The former said the other cast members were trying too hard to control their image on the show.
Meanwhile Tom was sad that the OG members didn’t get one last season together before the reboot. Lala Kent has mentioned that what if her blowup during the reunion caused the producers to speed up the reboot process? Whereas Scheana Shay has her mind set on moving on and joining another reality TV show. Keep an eye on TV Season & Spoilers for more Vanderpump Rules updates.
