Ethan Plath took his parents’ separation really well. Apparently, he had a lot about their split that he never opened up about. He addresses this during a conversation with his brother, Micah, in the Tuesday, November 14, episode.
The Welcome To Plathville castmate admits that their father, Barry, handled his divorce well. Micah quickly said that it was perhaps the toughest thing for him. Ethan went on to admire their father for not relying on alcohol but rather focusing all his attention on his health and younger kids.
Ethan was instead not as kind while talking about his mother, Kim. The eldest Plath son said that it would have been extremely difficult for their father to cope with the way she rushed into a relationship even before finalizing their split.
Ethan said that he is not sure how someone could find someone new when they are still legally married. He went on to share that he considers it ‘wrong.’ While talking to cameras, he admitted that he is fine with people entering into a relationship the moment they finalize their divorce if they cannot hold their excitement.
Talking to his brother, he admits that he would be “livid” if his then-wife, Olivia, rushed into a relationship ahead of finalizing their divorce.

This conversation came months before Ethan and Olivia announced their split on Instagram. They brought the news to common knowledge on October 27 by penning their thoughts online. She kicked off her upload by sharing that they had made their decision to go their separate ways.
The Welcome To Plathville celeb went on to add that she has innumerable memories of them when they were eight and planned on having their ‘forever.’ Olivia later gushed that she would always relish incredible memories of their journey together. She then concluded her post by wishing the best for him.
Likewise, Ethan uploaded a post announcing their separation. He confesses that things did not work out between them despite endless efforts to make things right. The reality TV star wished her good luck for the future. Plath also opined that he would continue loving and caring for her while concluding his post.
