Welcome To Plathville star Zac is now Barry’s official wingman in dating. Barry is back at his dating game after his divorce from Kim. The former couple announced their separation in June 2022 after 24 years of marital bliss with 10 kids. However, their long-standing feud regarding properties and finances in the divorce was delaying their paperwork.

When they finalized that Barry would have full custody of their minor kids and most of their assets, Kim went all out to express her frustration. She complained that her ex-husband delayed the settlement to have a major financial win. After the court granted them a divorce, she has moved on with her boyfriend, Ken, with whom she shares a roof. But Lydia, who has a pure heart, received Barry’s love and approval. Her dad wholeheartedly made efforts to get to know Zac and gave his daughter’s hand in marriage to him.

Barry blessed the couple on their big day. Lydia, therefore, thanked her coolest dad ever for being her rock when others turned their backs on her. As the family met for a heart-to-heart conversation in Season 8, she took the chance to address the past. She said her mom and brothers have deeply hurt her with their judgments about her relationship with Zac. Barry was the only person who neither expressed negative feelings about their love nor prevented their daughter from marrying young.

A new clip from Welcome To Plathville showed how Zac’s dad gladly tells Barry that his son can be his wingman. Barry loved that and urged Zac to become his wingman. Zac didn’t decline his dad’s advice, and Barry shared how he can’t have any of his sons as a wingman. He won’t like Ethan and Micah taking that position. 

It would be awkward for Barry to be guided by his sons. But with Zac, he will be fine and won’t mind taking his guidance to keep the dating path on track. Barry taking the great leap of faith in dating again is incredible. He came out of an unhappy marriage. Kim is no longer his wife, so he is on the hunt for a girlfriend. 

TLC producers questioned Zac as to whether he would give Barry tips on how to notch up his dating game. He agreed to give his best, but he is looking forward to forming a true father-in-law-and-son-in-law relationship. Zac’s dating and marrying Barry’s girl, Lydia, has certainly given him experience.

However, Zac said he knows that there is a generational gap when it comes to dating. So, there are a lot of things to be taken from each generation to consider what’s best in this dating market.
