Kim is surprised that Barry waited five years after their split before dating again. Since she is already seeing someone new, she wants Barry to find happiness, too. Barry admits he needed time to heal before thinking about dating again.
Now, Barry feels ready and looks excited about his future. Kim says it feels a bit strange to talk about her ex dating, but she is happy for him. The two seem comfortable around each other and share laughs with their kids. They show no signs of tension and appear like a peaceful, supportive family. Moreover, Barry has Zac as his right-hand man to help navigate the dating scene again.
Welcome to Plathville star Kim Plath is opening up about her parenting regrets. In the latest episode, she had a heart-to-heart talk with her son, Isaac Plath, after his breakup with Kaylynn. Isaac admitted he ended the relationship because he felt things were moving too fast. He said most of the pressure was mostly his own mental, and not from Kaylynn. Now, after the breakup, Issac feels there are many things he needs to work on.
Kim reflected on her parenting style in the confessional. In her confessional, Kim admitted she would parent differently now. She said teaching her kids to wait until marriage for sex may have affected their adult relationships. She believes it may have caused them to rush into a serious commitment without fully knowing the person. They often rushed into commitments to get physically intimate, which affected her children negatively in the long run.
Kim Plath told Isaac Plath that people often need to learn through experience. She explained that constantly thinking that something is always better out there can make someone overlook what they already have. Only after losing it do they realize its value. Isaac agreed with her perspective but admitted he feels scared. Issac also doesn’t think she and Kaylynn will ever get back together since she was shocked from the sudden breakup.
