Not long ago, 90 Day Fiance couple Robert and Anny had lunch with Bryson’s grandmother Stephanie and her husband, Ben. It was supposed to go peacefully, but things took an ugly turn pretty soon. It’s not the only controversy the adult film star is facing at the moment. According to court records, Stephanie and Ben are in an overwhelming financial crisis.
The American Express Centurion Bank sued Anny for an outstanding credit card balance of more than $29,000. It was $29,212.66, to be precise. Before, the outstanding amount exceeded $30,000. However, she made her last autopayment in March 2012 for $1,420. Let’s take a detailed look at this.
90 Day Fiance: Default Judgement In Favor of The Bank
In April 2013, the bank received a default judgment in their favor. As for the potential garnishee, they named the Wells Fargo Bank. There is a possibility that the American Express believed that Stephanie had a mortgage or something like that with the bank. But the bank later responded that they were in no way indebted to Stephanie.
In July 2004, the couple purchased a house of $529,000. This is where the first connection of Stephanie to Wells Forgo emerged. However, the very next year, they sold that place. At that time, they listed Texas as their address.
The American Express wasn’t the only one seeking their money back from Stephanie. The Internal Revenue Service has also taken out multiple tax liens against Ben and Stephanie. Allegedly, they haven’t paid taxes for the past ten years. The combined amount in the form of unpaid taxes is $40,860.92. Till now, it is not clear how much debt they have paid off. The couple purchased a Florida townhouse last year in the month of January. So, it seems like they managed to take their credit score back on the top.
90 Day Fiance: Stephanie and Ben Stirring The Air On 90 Day Fiance
Stephanie and Ben did stir some air during the time they starred on 90 Day Fiance. They also received a lot of hate from fans after they had the inappropriate lunch with Robert and Anny. Stephanie tried to send Anny away and bribe her. She said that she would pay for Anny’s ticket to give her a way out.
Ben also tried to persuade Anny to leave and let her know that they are there for her in case she needs a way out. Anny and Robert were offended, and she didn’t hold back when it came to putting Bryson’s grandmother back in her place. Earlier, when she met Anny for the first time, she asked her questions that were way too personal.
90 Day Fiance: Stephanie Claiming The Checkbook Scene Was Fake
When fans questioned Stephanie about her actions on 90 Day Fiance, she blamed the entire thing on TLCs fakery. Now, that we know how bad their financial situation is, signing off a check to immediately send Anny back to the Dominican Republic is not a convenient thing to do for Stephanie. So, it would be safe to say that it’s another attempt by TLC to escalate the drama! Do you think she is close to being out of the financial mess? Let us know in the comments below.
