Brandon and Julia got married in 2020. In another post, Brandon wrote that he couldn’t believe he was sharing the news. “I am excited but nervous as I want to be the best dad I can be,” he added. Julia posted a picture of their ultrasound and wrote that there was so much she wanted to say. However, she chose to start by saying that this was not usual for her, and it felt very strange to talk about, but she had to start.

When they entered the clinic, Dr. Mayer welcomed Julia and asked her to sit on the bed. Soon after, the check-up began. The doctor first asked how she was feeling. Julia admitted that she felt a little weird and said she felt hungover every day.

The doctor explained that Julia was 7 weeks and 4 days into the pregnancy and that they would now perform the first ultrasound to confirm a good heartbeat. Dr. Mayer added that the second appointment would be around 12 weeks, when Julia would enter her second trimester. “All right, my love. Foot rests out. You’re gonna feel a little bit of pressure,” the doctor said. As soon as the pair saw the screen, they seemed genuinely overwhelmed.

When the doctor explained that the flickering on the monitor was their baby’s heartbeat, the couple could not contain their emotions. Julia could hardly process seeing her baby for the first time. The couple was even happier when the doctor revealed that everything was all right. She gasped and said, ‘Oh my god.’ The mother-to-be then joked that she couldn’t be emotional because she was Russian.

“Yes, you can. Yes, you can. You’re still a woman with a baby inside. Oh my God, you’re crying,” the doctor replied. Meanwhile, Brandon sat silently beside his wife.
