90 Day Fiance: The Other Way has recently released a bonus scene in which we can see one of Corey’s friends grilling him over Evelin’s intentions. He asks him whether Evelin is considering moving to the US. To that, Corey mentioned that they had tried it and things weren’t working out that way. In fact, he stated that Evelin had given him an ultimatum that if he doesn’t move to Ecuador, their relationship will be over.
When his friend asked whether he is really moving to Ecuador, he answered with an enthusiastic yes. The other guy seemed to be shocked. He says that it’s a big move. He also says that Corey is crazy for going to live in a third world country voluntarily. When he asks him about how Corey is going to make a living, Corey tells him about the cocktail bar. When Corey tells him that he has emptied his retirement fund for investing a couple of thousand dollars in the cocktail bar, the biggest shock comes in.
90 Day Fiance: The Other Way; What Does Corey’s Friend Have To Say?
When he heard that Corey has invested a lot on Evelin and their future plans, he asks him whether Corey is sure that Evelin is not in the relationship just for the money. Corey replies that he is a hundred percent sure that Evelin is genuine. His friend mentions that to him, it doesn’t seem something like people in love do.
Last year, he bought an engagement ring and was planning to propose to Evelin. But when she found it in his bag, she got really upset. Corey isn’t even sure that Evelin will say yes this time. Maybe, the thought of being totally committed to one person scares her. By packing up and leaving the US, Corey wants to prove to Evelin that he is a hundred percent committed to Evelin. When his friend points out that Corey has family and friends in the US, he says that he doesn’t want to do this. But he is taking such drastic action and from that people can see how much Evelin means to him.
His friend thinks that Evelin is not ready to compromise and that relationships are all about to give and take. He also points out that she hasn’t made any compromises for Corey. When Corey says that she tried living in the States and wasn’t comfortable, his friend quickly shut him down. He asked him whether Corey is going to be comfortable living in Ecuador, he said probably not. That’s when he stated that there is no compromise here.
