Counting On alum Jill Duggar is grabbing eyeballs for stepping away from her family. Along with husband Derick, she is feuding with the Duggar patriarch Jim Bob over a bunch of issues. In the latest development, Jill skipped her dad’s 55th birthday bash to go on a double date with her cousin, Amy. Amy has already put the Duggar family far back in her list of priorities. Counting On: Amy Shares Picture From The Double Date Night!

Amy posted a picture with her husband, Dylan, on a double date with Jill and Derick. She captioned the photo with ‘Our new favorite word: Freedom!’ The couple had a dinner night at Dylan’s restaurant Wellington’s in Arkansas. Amy didn’t stop here. She took to Twitter, saying that one can’t choose one’s family. But one can certainly choose one’s therapist.

Josh Duggar’s wife Anna posted a bunch of family pictures from the birthday bash. Joy-Anna and her husband, Austin, also attended the black and yellow themed party. Anna mentioned in her caption that Jim Bob is a fun, patient, and adventurous Grandpa. She even praised him for being a superhero of all the kids.

Jill Is Breaking Free From The Duggar Family

Jill has apparently been missing from the family celebrations. She was also absent on Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations with her family. Not just this, Jill also missed out on her sister-in-law Abbie’s baby shower and Joy-Anna’s gender reveal. Jill, who shares Sam and Israel with Derick, has officially broken off from her conservative family. She is embracing new and normal ways of living for her family.

Derick Is Feuding Against Jim Bob Over Several Issues

Derick has been feuding with Jim Bob for a long time now. It all started with him accusing Duggar patriarch of not compensating the couple for their appearances on the show. Derrick further claimed that Jim disallowed the couple from visiting Duggar mansion in his absence. This consequently affected their relationship with Jill’s siblings as well. As for Jill, she now wears worn jeans and tank tops, which is prohibited by the Duggars.

Amy left the TLC show after rebelling against the family. And since then, she has kept her distance. However, she is pretty much close to Jill and supported her breaking free from the family. In one of her Instagram photos with Jill, Amy wrote: ‘You smile just a bit brighter these days! So proud of you, hippie chick!’
