Counting On Josh Duggar has become much trouble to the Duggar family and people living nearby them. The former reality star was arrested on possession of material claiming child abuse. And he is currently in home confinement with a third party. And, this third party is Jim Bob’s old friend LaCount and Maria Reber. It seems Josh will certainly no longer be able to live anywhere in peace with such a criminal record. Even LaCount’s neighbors are concerned with Josh Duggar living nearby them. Let us look below how the neighbors think Josh can cause problems to them.
Counting On: Josh Duggar’s New Neighbor Does Not Feel Safe With His Presence
Josh is claimed of child abuse, and that is some serious accusations. How can anyone ever feel safe to be around Josh Duggar, who is accused of such serious charges? We previously reported Maria Reber’s hesitant behavior to keep Josh in her house. However, she had to do so because of her husband’s want. Now, Josh Duggar’s new neighbors have opened up about their concerns. The Sun reported Jason Gemeiner, the new neighbor, saying, “I’m a little concerned, but there is not much I can do about it.”
Jason further went on to explain the main reason for his concern to be his teen daughter. He fears that her daughter could become a victim. However, Jason knows her daughter is a strong girl. Above all, there is a horse pasture between their house to separate them. Jason also know that Rebers are nice people and will never let any ill thing happen on their watch. From their side, Rebers took the effort to inform Jason and other neighbors about Josh living nearby them.
Jason appreciated Rebers telling him about Josh. But still, his concern toward his daughter continues. It is obvious for any father to be concerned about his daughter when people like Josh surround them.
Counting On: Maria Admits To Not Know Josh Well
LaCount and Maria have a daughter Hannah, 22. LaCount works as an MRI tech with the US Department of Veterans Affairs. Moreover, Maria is a homemaker. The couple has been friends with Duggars for too long. However, Maria confessed not to know Josh well during the detention hearing.
Parole officer Diem Nguyen explained to the court during the hearing, “Her (Maria) concern was she was a woman and Josh was a man, and she felt, she didn’t know how she felt about being alone with him for a long period of time.” It definitely scares Maria to be around Josh, after what Josh has done all this while. How will she manage when her husband is not around? Meanwhile, Maria’s daughter teaches piano to minors. Officer also brought it to the judge’s notice.
Moreover, Rebers owning a firearm is also a concern to the judge. The parole officer stated, “the minors coming into the home and the pistols cause the probation office some concern.” In order to avoid minors coming to the house, Hannah has to announce on her social media that she will be teaching her students via Zoom or FaceTime. This is because as per Josh’s release bond, he is not allowed to be near any minors except his own kids. The former reality star is only allowed to go out of the house on certain terms. Moreover, officers will keep an eye on all his activities. Let us further see how long he will be out on bail.
