Dancing With The Stars revealed the list of all the contestants on September 3. This year, the show will mark its 20th anniversary. Last year, Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson picked up the Mirrorball Trophy. Season 33 ended back in November 2024; since then, the audience has been waiting eagerly for the new season.

​While everyone is excited for the upcoming season’s premiere, the fans have noticed that someone seems to be missing from the cast: Sasha Farber. Everyone is disappointed that his name is not on the list. The Australian-American professional dancer has also opened up about someone cutting him. Keep reading to know what he said.

Dancing With The Star: When Sasha Farber Almost Didn’t Compete In Season 31 & 33

Since the official list of Dancing With The Stars was released, the audience is a bit disappointed, as Sasha Farber won’t be a part of the upcoming season. Earlier in season 31, Farber almost didn’t compete on the show when his partner unexpectedly dropped out at the last minute. However, Sasha managed to convince actress Selma Blair to be his new partner.

​Similarly, in Season 33, he and his partner, Jenn Tran, discovered they were on the show’s official list, just hours before the cast was revealed. Sasha Faber qualified for the finals four times. His status as a DWTS veteran raised eyebrows when they did not include him on the official list for season 34.

Dancing With The Stars is all set for its new season. On September 3, the show officially released the whole cast. While everyone is eager to watch the new season, many are wondering why Sasha Faber’s name is not on the list.  He joined the show as a troupe member in the thirteenth season. In the seventeenth season, someone promoted him as a pro when he partnered with Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi.

The professional dancer was also part of season 22 and 24. Since season 26, he has been one of the constant pros on the show. But when they disclosed this year’s cast list, his name was not on it. Sasha Faber has also spoken openly about this. He shared a story on September 3, in which he wrote about his thoughts on not returning as a pro this season. He wrote, “I know who you’re not going to vote for – That’s me. But that’s okay.” Faber further thanked his fans for the support.

​He added, “I definitely don’t deserve you because you guys are amazing.” He also cheered for his favorite pair from the upcoming season. “And this is going to be quite a season because there are so many [frontrunners],” he added. He  concluded the message and wrote, “This is going to be great, and I can’t wait to cheer.” He didn’t let the situation take over him; instead, he kept it light and chill.

While they have not yet confirmed Season 35, Sasha’s fans are hoping that if the show returns with another season, they will get to see their beloved dancer and choreographer back on their TV screen.
