To make it easier for him, his ex-wife, Fabiana Owens, has revealed that Mel has only made a payment of $40,000 out of the $980,000 settlement amount.

According to Daily Mail, Fabiana has disclosed that he owns her nearly $1 million. After four years in the court, the former couple settled their divorce in December 2024. Back then, she agreed to leave their marital house and waived her right to spousal support. Their home in Orange County is worth over $2 million. In 2008, they purchased the house for $840,000. To equalize the payment, the court ordered Mel to pay $980,000 as the divorce settlement by February 28, 2025. But according to her, he hasn’t paid the whole amount yet. She further revealed that Mel still has to pay his attorney’s fee.

Fabiana also added that Owens earns nearly $20,000 a month, excluding his fees from the Golden Bachelor season 2. She further said that she doesn’t understand why he isn’t paying. Fabiana is a co-obligor on the loan, and she has revealed that her ex-husband is also a month behind on the mortgage. She also fears that this could have a negative impact on her. And that is why she has been requesting the court to force the sale of their former marital home.
