Is ‘My 600 Lb Life’ On The Verge of Cancellation? Gina Krasley Files Lawsuit Against Megalomedia

My 600 Lb Life Stars or their families are targeting the production company Megalomedia and there is nothing that can stop them. It seems like Megalomedia won’t be saying goodbye to some serious legal troubles anytime soon. After Bonner’s family and David Bolton filed a negligence lawsuit against Megalomedia, Maja Radanovich from season 7 followed. And the season 8 star Gine Krasley was next in line to file another lawsuit. This makes a total of four lawsuits against Megalomedia. Let’s take a detailed look at this.

My 600 Lb Life: Here Is What Gina Krasley Claims

Gina’s claims hold a lot of similarities to earlier claims by the Bonner family and David on Megalomedia. The court documents stated that the company failed to acquire a psychological evaluation of Gine before they placed her on an extreme diet for weight loss. The company also failed to provide her with mental health care when the filming was going on and when she was on such an extreme diet.

Despite the company knowing that Gine was in distress, they kept on causing her stress just to spike the ratings. She also revealed that the company made her seem like someone who couldn’t stick to Dr. Nowzaradan’s diet. In fact, they asked her to eat lots of stuff just for the purpose of filming and adding some drama. This is because they wanted Dr. Now to express his disappointment in her for not following the diet.

My 600 Lb Life: Megalomedia’s Response To The Lawsuits

Megalomedia has not responded to any of the lawsuits except for the one Bonner’s family filed. They responded by saying that the claims of the Bonner family are without merits. Even though they call the death of the former cast member LB Bonner tragic, they are saying that the production company had nothing to do with that.

But Bonner’s family said that even though this lawsuit won’t bring their son back, it wil reveal the reality of the show and how they treat those featuring on it. Angela Gutierrez, a My 600 Lb Life alum voiced in the support of those who filed the lawsuit. According to her, people should know the dark truths about the production company and the show. She is also ready to support the family in every way possible.

My 600 Lb Life: Is Gina Krasely’s Lawsuit a Distraction?

Gina is not the fan’s favorite person right now. She dropped 51 pounds in a year and had to postpone her surgery. The ending of the episode resulted in a fallout. Another update about Gine suggested that she used to be the star of SSBBW videos. However, since the news broke, Gina has locked all her social media accounts.

There are many viewers that think that My 600 Lb Life alum Gina’s lawsuit is a distraction. However, her claims are almost similar to those of other lawsuits against Megalomedia.
