John David Duggar And His Wife Blocks TLC Cameras For Privacy From The Delivery Room

John David Duggar and his wife Abbie are the latest new parents of the Duggar family. While there is no shortage of births in the family, Abbie and John are the only couples who have asked for some privacy. They have also mentioned that parenting is hard.

John and Abbie Send The TLC Cameras Away From The Delivery Room

When it comes to giving birth, not everyone is a fan of letting the cameras capture such an intimate moment. While the TLC cameras have been capturing almost all Duggar births, it wasn’t the case for Abbie and John. Even though fans watched the labor hours on-screen, the couple asked for privacy when it came to giving birth to the baby. When Abbie was in labor, she had to endure a lot of pain. However, she had her husband present there to comfort her. From what we saw, he did a really great job.

The birth special episodes looked at the lives of the couple and their relationship along with the 36-hour labor. Abbie was planning on staying at home for the initial phase of her labor. Moreover, in the hospital, she wanted a low intervention room with both her and John’s mom present.

Counting On: The Time of Little Grace’s Birth

According to Michelle, Abbie was breathing through the contractions and was staying calm. There was a photographer taking snaps from her labor. The doctors gave her a Pitocin to move labor along. This was because she had to undergo an epidural.

After capturing some moments of Abbie’s labor, the photographer went on to photograph some other Duggar special moments. Jana called Michelle to check on with what was going on. Others were wondering how much the baby is going to weigh.

After Annie gave birth, her dad warmly patted John on the back. They had some amazing pictures holding the baby in their arm immediately after birth. The little girl weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces.

Lauren stated after Abbie’s birth that she is glad she had an epidural. She had two, but none worked. After birth, many other Duggars visited their home. In a family picture, Jessa, Kendra, and Lauren held their own daughters as Abbie joined them with her own.

Counting On: The New Couple’s Thoughts On Parenting

According to John and Abbie, parenting is tough. The pair is working through some tough nights. But they are grateful for the support of their family during this time. They have also stated that Grace is a beautiful gift from God, which has changed their lives.

During her first trimester, Abbie suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum. But the hard part is over, and the couple is excited to live their lives as new parents. Sound off your thoughts on Abbie and John’s new parenthood in the comments below.
