Mama June Shannon recently shared her feelings about her granddaughter Kylee being taken away from her and her family. The latter is the youngest daughter of June’s elder daughter, Anna Cardwell. Anna passed away at the age of 29 after losing her battle with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma. She married Michael Cardwell and had Kylee with him.
Anna also had another daughter, Kaitlyn, from another relationship. Her passing affected June a lot. Shannon believes that her late daughter reflects on her granddaughter. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she informed everyone that her granddaughter is doing fantastic with her and the family. While talking about her journey after the funeral, she shared her emotional struggles with Kaitlyn.
Despite Kaitlyn’s life being “tossed upside down,” June confirmed that she attends public school. She is doing her best in her studies, getting good grades, and excelling in other activities. According to the reality star, her granddaughter’s progress makes her a proud grandma. She further noted that Kaitlyn didn’t do well in a private school in the past, but her resilience is truly inspiring. She also mentioned Kylee and stated she hadn’t seen her after her daughter’s funeral day.

It has been one year since Kylee’s father, Michael Cardwell, took her with him. Anna’s death happened on the same day as her daughter’s birthday, which was December 9. Her mother, Mama June, has recently opened up about how life looks and feels like after her death. She said she didn’t seek Kylee’s custody because her father had it.
Mama June further revealed that Michael relocated with his daughter to Alabama in November after marrying London Smith in September. In a conversation with People, she accused him of keeping her granddaughter away from her family. His move is the sole reason for creating distance between June and Kylee.
June warned Michael that the kids wouldn’t see each other if he took one with him for relocation. She stated that he decided to get married despite knowing the issue of separating the sisters. She also recalled he tried to relocate with Anna after he married her. Shannon then revealed that she and her family couldn’t say goodbye to Kylee before the relocation.
June explained that the family had tried to see Kylee for once. However, they couldn’t succeed in their mission. She said that Anna believed Michael would shift Kylee to another place after her passing. This statement made it clear that June’s daughter struggled with the thing before her death.
