In her recent Instagram post, she opened up about her opinions for the community, which resonated with the fans. Well, the Sister Wives star was wearing a cool sweatshirt with rainbow stripes on it. Moreover, she wrote in the caption how she doesn’t claim to understand the pain, conflict, or struggle of the LGBTQ community feels. Besides, she barely uses proper terminology or lingo when talking about or to queer people.

The TV star also talked about how there is still a lot about the community that she does not know or understand. Yet, she now intends to try to understand them as much as she can. She assures her queer fan-followers that they are “safe” with her. Moreover, Meri acknowledges that many of them still struggle to be seen and loved. Hence, she says, “I see you, and I send you my love,” and wants every person to feel comfortable in their skin and be who they really are. The proud mom wants people to feel confident, whole, and strong and “To just be.”

Besides, Meri also feels at a loss, not knowing what she can do to contribute to the LGBTQ community’s peace, healing, and acceptance. However, she promises that she will just love and support others and assures that, “I will have your back.” The Sister Wives star ended the post with a bunch of colorful emojis and hashtags saying “#LoveIsLove, #PrideMonth, #LGBTQ, #MomHugs, alongside others.

Meri’s recent post got a lot of love from fans, both queer and allies, and others who are also just trying to understand and respect the LGBTQ community. People appreciated her for being supportive of her daughter and called her a good mom in the comments. Others were happy with Meri’s honesty and felt loved and assured by her words. Moreover, fans also talked about how Meri had come a long way from how she was when Mariah came out of the closet.

Well, people accepted that it was hard for them to find sympathy for Meri when her daughter came out to her. She gave a bitter reaction and asked some cringy questions from Mariah. But some fans also pointed out that it was better that she asked questions instead of being entirely uneducated. On the other hand, people also said that they are glad to see Meri’s growth and understand that she came far out of her comfort zone to understand and educate herself to accept and love her child.
