Apart from doing the show, Leah Messer has written a memoir Hope, Grace & Faith, named after the middle names of her daughters: Aliannah, Aleeah, and Adalynn. In this book, she candidly talks about her drug addiction, something she has not previously spoken about. Leah’s tryst with drug addiction hasn’t been easy. Her revelations clearly show that. Leah first came clean about her opioid addiction in November 2018 during her podcast. In the podcast titled Life Reboot, Leah said that she how it feels to become dependent on anything given by a doctor.

How Did Leah Messer Got Into Med Addiction?

Leah Messer talked about her pill dependency after the 2013 birth of her third daughter, Adalynn. Post that, the doctors gave her a botched spinal tap that left her in immense pain for months. That’s how her addiction started and with the release of the memoir, Leah is getting real and candid about it. In the books, she revealed that her dad gave her meds after her own painkillers ran out. The medicines prescribed by the doctors were fine. However, it was diazepam that really knocked her out.

With everything, Leah admits, she struggled with Ali’s problem too. She further shared that she didn’t get any time to schedule a follow-up appointment to figure out why she was still in so much pain. And then, her father hooked her up with some medications. Her father was addicted to it, Leah added.
