Meghan Markle Opens Up About Harrowing Cyber-Bullying Incidents

The Duchess of Sussex has proved time and again that she is a fierce of nature. However, even the strongest souls sometimes face some emotional setbacks. Meghan Markle opened up about one such experience. The Duchess recently attended the SXSW event for Women’s Day, where she gushed over her husband – Prince Harry, and his support towards her. Meghan Markle Spills Details About What She Faced During Her Pregnancies

Commenting on the hatred that often comes her way on social media, Meghan Markle admitted that the she faced the worst of it during both her pregnancies . While carrying Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet and shortly after she had given birth. She lamented on how can people be like that and wondered where so much hatred comes from. The Duchess shrugged that she finds it hard to wrap her head around it, “It’s not catty, it’s cruel.

Furthermore, Meghan Markle added that she does not pay heed to social media anymore. “I keep my distance from it right now for my wellbeing,” the Duchess asserted. She pointed that it is such a tender time when a mother gives birth to a newborn, and it is very easy to succumb to it. However, what baffles her the most is the fact that some women are capable of skewing such hatred to other women. “I cannot make sense to that,” she concluded.

The Duchess Reflects On Her Early Childhood

Speaking about womanhood, Meghan Markle recalled how she has always been a feminist. Even in her younger years. The Duchess recited an incident from her childhood when she had written a letter to Fairy a.k.a. P&G over a commercial they aired about “women” searching for the perfect dishwasher.

Meghan Markle recounted that she watched the commercial that said , “Women all over America are fighting greasy pots and pans”. Later, the boys in her class said- “Yeah, that’s where women belong, in the kitchen.” The Duchess pointed that even at 11 years of age she found that remark “infuriating”. Thus, she wrote tons of letters to have it changed. and they did! The commercial was then changed from – Women all over America to People all over America.

The Duchess of Sussex asserted that our voice is not small, and it will be heard. This incident goes on to show that if we know something is wrong and we raise out voice against it, it can really resonate and land for a lot of people.
