Currently, on General Hospital, Mac Scorpio is stressed over Cody’s predicament at Ferncliff. The poor man has no idea that Cody knowingly pulled the bizarre stunts that would get him committed to the mental health facility. Mac, having a soft corner for Cody, is working on trying to get him out of Ferncliff. He strongly feels that Cody has been misdiagnosed and does not belong in the facility.
What Mac doesn’t know yet is that his soft corner for Cody perhaps stems from his biological ties with him on General Hospital. In the past, the story about Cody and Mac being biological related was quite heated up. However, with time it just sort of faded into oblivion. Now, the latest GH spoilers tease that the truth about their bio-ties is about to spill out. But we may have to wait a little while to see that father-son reunion play out on-screen.
Recently, actor John J. York (Mac) took to his social media account to announce a break from General Hospital. John posted on X (formerly twitter) that he will be taking a brief hiatus from the show in a few weeks. “So hang tight, and I’ll be in touch.” he wrote. However, he also mentioned in his message that he is in the process of getting some important information. We really wonder if it has something to do with his future on the ABC soap. But then, it could also be something entirely unrelated to GH.

Nonetheless, his fans and followers wished him all the best in the comments and hoped that he gets happy news soon. However, considering that he concluded his message with a the big grin emoji, the info might not be too serious in nature. Interestingly, just a few days prior to this message, John had also made an important announcement on X. He updated his followers that an impostor had been posting content on Facebook, using his name. He gave his followers a head’s up to not fall for such scams. And that his X account is his only social media account.
Well, we hope whoever this impostor is goes away by the John return from his break. Although we can’t help but chuckle at the fact that his on-screen son, Cody, too entered General Hospital as a conman.
