Soap Opera Digest recently reported that actor Sean Blakemore is all set to reprise his role of Shawn Butler on the soap opera, and it looks like this time he will come in for a more extended stint. Blakemore has signed a deal. So, it looks like Shawn will get out of the prison and return to Port Charles.
Sean Blakemore has played Shawn’s role from the years 2011 to 2015 and then stepped back in 2016. Back in the time, his stint ended with him being convicted for shooting Hayden Barnes and ending up in Pentonville. However, many General Hospital viewers would remember that he hadn’t even committed the crime. Ever since then, many viewers of the soap have been complaining that Shawn has spent a lot of time in prison. Most Port Charles characters don’t pay as much as Shawn has already paid for the crimes he is not even guilty of. So, it is high time that Shawn comes back.

When Shawn comes back to Port Charles, there are chances that he might have a romantic storyline coming up. Shawn and Jordan Ashford have a romantic history together, and it is possible that the two of them might rekindle their romance. That is especially possible because Jordan and Curtis are on the verge of getting a divorce.
