In the recent episode, we saw how Brook never wrote back to the civilian complaint review board or even told Chase that she is capable of helping him get the batch back. It was all of Brook’s selfishness that she sabotaged Chase’s dream to work as a detective.
However, things changed when Dante had a slip of the tongue and revealed that he is waiting for the letter from Brook. Initially, Chase thought that Brook might not want to get his hopes high, and that’s why she is hiding it from him. But later on, when he joined the dots, he understood that it was all Brook’s plan to keep him on the popstar path for her selfish gain. The thing was, Linc Brown offered Brook to keep quiet on all the sexual harassment cases and just act like Linc is a good guy. In exchange for this, he was willing to give away all of Brook’s songs back to her. The fact that Brook was even giving it a thought will scare Chase to the core.
