The Bold and The Beautiful: Sean Kanan SUSTAINS a NEAR-DEATH Experience, Shares SCARY UPDATE

Deacon Sharpe is quite the player on The Bold and The Beautiful. No one he has set his eyes on has ever escaped his charms! Sometimes, two women at one time! Remember his torrid affair in the past with mother and daughter Brooke and Bridget? Speaking of the past, Deacon portrayer, Sean Kanan recently opened up about a life-threatening past incident that he faced while shooting for the mega-successful project Karate Kid Part 3, in 1989.

In an interview with Daily Mail, Sean Kanan spoke about the terrifying experience he had after sustaining a life-threatening injury during the action sequences of the karate-based film. After six weeks of filming, the production took a Christmas break. Sean decided to spend the holidays in Las Vegas. Initially, the actor ignored the sharp pains he felt in his thigh, writing it off to all the karate he had been doing. However, things took a severe turn when he passed out at a Las Vegas Casino.

The Bold and The Beautiful actor was rushed to a hospital. Sean found out that the pains were not from something basic, in fact, he had been bleeding internally. Adding to his terror, the doctors informed him that they were not sure if he would survive the surgery. What seemed like normal thigh pains had suddenly become a life-and-death situation.

However, The Bold and The Beautiful actor made it through safely. But, then Sean started to worry about whether or not he will recover enough to restart shooting. And if he did not, he feared he would get replaced. Thankfully, the doctors were able to fix his injury without cutting through abdominal muscles. Sean then took a discharge against medical advice just to be able to get back on the sets. The production had given him all but 12 days to re-join, despite his dire situations.

However, not only did the tremendously talented actor re-joined the filming in the given window. He even went on to perform most of the action sequences himself. Quite the opposite to popular belief that they were all performed by body doubles. The Bold and The Beautiful actor said that it was a horrible experience but also a defining one and he would not want to change it.

In addition to playing Deacon on The Bold and The Beautiful, Sean Kanan recently reprised his The Karate Kid Part III role as Mike Barnes on Cobra Kai. The flick is available for viewing on Netflix.
