It looks like another return is on the cards for Young and the Restless. Recently The General Hospital vet, Doug Davidson, confirmed that he is coming back. A fan tweeted, asking him if he was coming back. To this, he confirmed that as a matter of fact, he is. However, he asked all fans not to get too excited as he is coming back only for a few scenes. The actor was let go from the soap opera back in 2018, and fans have been quite vocal about this exit.
Eric Braeden Speaks About Doug’s Long Absence
For a long time, fans have been questioning David’s absence from the show. Recently his co-actor Eric Braeden spoke up about Davidson’s absence. He stated that it also is a mystery for him on why Dougie isn’t there on the show that he, in fact, helped create. Braden’s part hasn’t been exaggerated either. Davidson first joined the show back in 1978.
Young and the Restless: Davidson Is Still Angry
While Davidson has been asking all his fans not to get very excited about his upcoming part on the show, it doesn’t look like fans have been controlling any of that. A fan took on to twitter to say that this is just the start, and she hopes that the creators listen to them. All fans want to see Doug Davidson back on the show full-time. Many other fans showed the same sentiment. However, Davidson’s skepticism looks quite the same earned. Recently he said that he is still angry about the way his exit was handled on the show.
Recently, when Young and the Restless ran out of the episodes due to the lockdown, many classic episodes were aired. Many of them also featured Paul. So, many fans have started hoping that this might be an indication of him coming back on the show sooner. However, Davidson has now cleared it that he will not come back on the show. He said that he thinks that some clarification is in order. His contract ended in 2018 and hasn’t been renewed yet. Nothing has changed ever since.
