Kristoff St. John’s death has been one of the most unfortunate events in the history of The Young and The Restless. The tragic death not only changed the entire storyline of The Young and The Restless but also devastated his co-stars. Shemar Moore reminisces his audition where Kristoff wanted him to play his brother. His exact words were ” I want ‘the scared kid with the baseball hat on backwards to play my brother’. He’s got a long way to go but I know he can do it.” Peter Bergman also talks about John with some fond memories. He has known him for 37 years. Mishael Morgan also goes on to say in a broken voice describing how good Kristoff made them all feel.

What Did Christel Khalil Have To Say?
Christel Khalil talks about a scene with Kristoff where she actually felt she was speaking to her dad. Even Kristoff once pointed out that he thinks of Christel Khalil as a daughter. The bond between them was impeccable. She also mentioned that she did not have much of a relationship with her real dad. Kristoff perfectly fulfilled that role. He also gifted her something on her every birthday. She then started to tear up and said that she thought she was done crying. The sudden death has left her heartbroken.
Christel Khalil also pointed out that the majority of the cast members were literally kids when they joined. It was Kristoff who made it so easy on them and also made them feel at home. She is one of Kristoff’s co-stars who was extremely attached to him and is finding it really difficult to cope with the sudden and tragic loss.

The Young And The Restless: Shemar Moore Remembers His On-Screen Big Brother
Shemar Moore gives Kristoff some credit for his role as Neil’s younger brother. It was him who made it possible for Shemar Moore to gain the role of Malcolm. On ‘The Talk’, Shemar Moore shares a photograph of him and Kristoff from a long time ago and calls it a beautiful memory.
Kristoff was already suffering from a tragic loss of his beloved son. That pushed him more forth into a drinking problem. At the age of 52, the talented and much-loved actor passed away in February. The show has done an excellent job airing his tribute. It was a beautiful event with all Kristoff’s fellow cast members reminiscing about the joyous memories they had with him.
