She says that she was surprised when she got the call and jumped on the opportunity. That is because she would never miss an opportunity like this.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest as Darbo spoke about the character, she said that she adores Courtney Hope. However, she wouldn’t say the same about her character. Patrika will reprise the role of Shirley Spectra, but instead of going to The Bold and the Beautiful, she will be headed to Genoa City.
Speaking about her character, Darbo says that Shirley will be the same schemer she was before. Sally and her grandmother are both schemers and manipulators. If anyone allows, they can manipulate anyone very badly. When Shirley comes to Genoa City, she will want to make sure that Sally is well taken care of.
Not just that, but when she comes to the land, she might also get a storyline of her own. Talking more about it, Darbo speaking of the special connection she has with The Young and the Restless. She says that her late grandmother would have been thrilled to know that Patrika is getting to be a part of the hit CBS show.
