He rather abruptly left Genoa City, and nobody knew why that was happening. Many The Young and the Restless fans believed that New Year’s Eve would be the best time for Jack and Phyllis to come together. However, that did not happen.
Jack left the town for a business trip without even saying goodbye; Phyllis herself came to know about it from Lauren Baldwin. But she did get a text from Jack. Soap Opera Digest recently reported that Jack portrayer Peter Bergman had to undergo an emergency surgery where he had to get his detached retina repaired. So, owing to all of this, he required some time to recover and had to take some time off the show. This was the reason why The Young and the Restless creators had to let him temporarily exit the soap.
Fans would recall, there was a time when Mishael Morgan had a similar emergency. So, Bergman took her help on how much time he will need to heal. Bergman reveals that she was a huge help in all of this. But now, he is all healed and already back on the sets.
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that when Jack returns to the canvas sooner than later, things will change significantly. As per the spoilers, Phyllis has come to know that Jack will be away for a few weeks, but when Jack returns, things will change. Some spoilers even say that this absence will make their hearts grow fonder. And Jack’s homecoming will finally lead to the Jack-Phyllis reunion we have all been waiting for.
