The Young and the Restless actor Greg Rikaart is sick. He portrays Kevin Fisher on the show. The actor has a mild fever, tightness in the chest, and cough. He took on to Instagram to update his fans about his sickness. Along with that, he even showed his frustration on the government for not being able to provide needed COVID-19 test kits in the time of this epidemic. Greg Rikaart Is Sick!

The Young and the Restless actor Greg Rikaart, who plays Kevin Fisher, is sick. He took on to his Instagram to share the news. Rikaart told his fans that he has been sick for days and hasn’t been able to get tested for COVID-19. He posted a picture that features a photo of himself. In the post, he described how his situation began to unfold. He told everyone that initially, he had 100.5 fever on Friday/Saturday and tightness in the chest along with wet cough complete with green phlegm.

Is He Getting The Medical Help? 

In the same post, he went on explaining that first, his doctor diagnosed him with some seasonal allergies, before he got the fever. Two days after suffering from fever, the actor started taking Z-Pak and some antibiotics. However, he did not feel better after that. Because of this bad health, he started trying to get in touch with three other doctors. He hoped he could get a flu diagnosis and the coronavirus test. All of them refused to see him.

The doctors told him that he did not meet the parameters- 1. He hasn’t traveled internationally in the past few weeks, 2. Has 102 Fever, and, 3. Cough. The actor was looking quite frustrated about not getting the test. He even went on to say that it is a failure by the federal government. Other countries are testing anyone who wants to be tested no matter the intensity of symptoms.

Does Greg Have COVID-19? 

After a lot of effort, Rikaart was successful in finding a doctor. The doctor was coming to visit the actor at home. He said that he was hoping to only and flu but nothing else. Greg jokingly said that he has his fingers crossed. He just has the flu and not something we hear every day. In the video, he told everyone that he has been in isolation since he has a mild fever, and husband Rob Sudduth is taking care of their son alone. So, he was hoping that he could maybe relieve him once he is diagnosed with COVID-19 negative.

After the doctor’s visit, the actor posted another video update where he explained that he still has a fever but not the flu. He couldn’t get tested for COVID-19  because there were no test kits. He thanked everyone for their warm support. Along with that, the actor urged everyone to stay safe and signed off.

There’s A Lot Of Love For Greg Out There

Greg Rikaart’s on-screen wife Elizabeth Hendrickson commented on the video and told him how much she loved him. Then she went on to tell the actor that he looks handsome even after being sick during the whole pandemic. Greg then thanked Elizabeth for her kind words. Around 700 Instagram users went on to send good wishes to the actor after he posted the update.
