Michelle Stafford is undeniably a star in her own right! Her portrayal of Phyllis Summers on The Young and The Restless is exemplary. However, off late her screen time has shrunk as compared to her previous fleshy storylines. Recently, all she has done is groan, grunt and roll her eyes at her nemesis, Diane Jenkins. This has not only earned her ire from Jack Abbott, but also her own daughter, Summer. The story surrounding her refuses to move forward. Moreover, there seems to be no angle to any storylines that could bring the spotlight back on her. This makes us wonder if she is approaching the end of her time! Has a star just been fired?
Well, Yes and No! Confused? Let us explain! Thankfully, The Young and The Restless star Michelle Stafford has NOT been fired. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for her character, Phyllis Summers. The red-haired vixen of Genoa City has just been fired! Moreover, to add insult to injury, the one to fire her is her own son, Daniel Romalotti!! Recently, Phyllis took a trip to go meet Daniel’s estranged wife, Heather, in Portugal. She wanted to convince her daughter-in-law that her son is a changed man and persuade her to reconcile with him.
Daniel Asks Phyllis To Stay Out Of His Business On the Young And The Restless
However, when news reached Daniel, he confronted his mother on The Young and The Restless. He demanded to know what Phyllis was even thinking and what she meant to achieve by all of it. Phyllis insisted that she was only trying to help him. But he scoffed that she never actually manages to help, in fact, ends up doing quite the opposite. This really shocked Phyllis. Furthermore, Daniel told her to stay out of his business. And before Phyllis could even get a word out, he clarified that he wasn’t just talking about his love life. That’s when it dawned upon Phyllis, that her son was FIRING her!
Oh well, at least Phyllis has some experience with being fired on The Young and The Restless before! She was shown the door at Marchetti too! We wonder if it felt like Deja Vu to her? Considering that her daughter was one of the top bosses at Marchetti. Anyhoo, we are glad that it is Phyllis and not Michelle getting fired! But then, it’s highly unlikely that The Young and The Restless would fire Michelle! She has been part of the soap since kingdom come! Whether or not she has ample screen time, she always manages to steal the show in whatever scene she is part of!
