Previously, news revealed that Charles ‘Chic’ Eglee (The Walking Dead and Dexter) had joined American Gods Season 3 as the new show-runner. And that was nothing new because, in the past two seasons, the show has gone through so many behind-the-scenes changes.
More Cast Added In American Gods Season 3
Lately, the show added a butt load of the new cast in the third season of American Gods. And recently, news came about some more cast addition in the upcoming season of the series. Three more stars have joined the God Squad for American Gods Season 3. As per the reports, Danny Trejo (from Desperado) will feature as one of the many forms of Mr. World. Crispin Glover will recur as Mr. World in the upcoming episodes of the third season, as well. Previously added, Dominique Jackson, will also represent one of the incarnations of Mr. Jackson.

Adding to this, Julia Sweeney (Veteran Saturday Night Live star) will guest star in the upcoming season. She will play Ann-Marie Hinzelmann, the disarmingly warm one-woman welcome wagon for Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) when he arrives. She owns a small convenience store, is a world-famous fishing lure artisan, and the unofficial, self-appointed mayor of Lakeside, as described.

And Rapper Wale will also feature in Season 3 as Chango. He is a fiery, silver-tongued, Orisha who is an essential link to Shadow’s unexplored past. Meanwhile, Eric Johnson will feature in Season 3 as Lakeside’s Chief of Police Chad Mulligan. Ashley Reyes as Wednesday’s techie Cordelia. Herizen Guardiola as the Yoruban goddess of love and fertility Oshun. Blythe Danner as Goddess Demeter and Marilyn Manson as Viking rocker Johan Wengren.

American Gods Season 3: Plot Details
The second season of American Gods did not end on the right terms. By the end of the second season, Shadow tried to take over the Lakeside on his own. At the same time, he was exploring questions about his past and divinity. However, in the third season, Chango (Wale) will help Shadow on his journey. Chango is the god of his ancestors and one of the Orishas. He has this electrifying aura, selfless passion, and warrior spirit that he can lead Shadow to his place in the realm of gods.
The third season of American Gods will take the audience to the specific portion of Lakeside from Neil Gaiman’s iconic novel. It will continue the brewing war between the Old and the New Gods. As per the book, Shadow is hiding from the New Gods and their spooks at Lakeside, Wisconsin. Moreover, Mr. Wednesday is trying to persuade the Old Gods to join his side of the war.

The show took two years two return on Starz after it debuted. Therefore, there is no certainty when the third season of American Gods will arrive.
