Set in a fictional town of Winden, Germany, the story of the show revolves around the aftermath of a child’s disappearance. The incidence soon exposes a series of secrets and hidden connections among four estranged families. These families then slowly unravel a sinister ‘time travel conspiracy,’ which spans three generations. As the plot continues, we come across tones of plot twists that bind us to demand more episodes.

Showrunner Gives Major Spoilers!
The second cycle of the German show left us hanging on the craziest cliffhanger ever. In the last moments, Adam (who is also the grown-up Jonas) kills Martha. However, as Jonas’ younger version weeps over his love life’s dead body, a new variant of her appears right in front of him. Martha claims that she is not who he thinks she is. Moreover, upon asking what time she came from, the character gives Jonas a bizarre reply. She says that the question isn’t from what time, but from what world she came.
A large number of fans suspect that the cliffhanger reveals that there are multiple dimensions out there. If this is true, we may get to see new versions of the characters in Dark Season 3.
On top of all, showrunner Jantje Friese teases that the first season of the series gave out hints on what is about to go down in the final showdown.
