HBO’s new series left us in tears with its super-emotional finale episode. After the crazy cliffhanger, we all want Euphoria Season 2 as soon as possible. Well, luckily, Zendaya-starrer popular show is already greenlit for another run. As of now, filming for the second installment is yet to begin. However, it may start sooner this year. Here’s everything you need to know about the return of the teen drama.
Euphoria debuted back in the middle of June 2019 and soon became a fan-favorite. It introduces us to the lead characters, Rue and Jules that are sure to be remembered for years, even after the show ends. Zendaya as Rue is complicated yet winsome. Moreover, Hunter Schafer, as Jules, is one best complement to her insanity. The show stars a bunch of high school kids and their messed up journey towards adulthood.

The series attempts to highlight a slew of issues that exist in the lives of teenagers today. It follows the teens as they navigate drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love, and friendship.
Euphoria Season 2: Renewal
HBO’s teen drama is absolutely wild, and towards the end, we all knew it deserves to exist longer. The television network didn’t take long to realize the same and renewed the series for another run. Euphoria Season 2’s renewal was announced way before the finale of the debut season. Fans were delighted to hear the news and shared their excitement over social media.

Production Status
The productions of the dramatic series take a while to conclude. Filming for the second installment continued up to eight months before ending in May 2019. As of now, the cast and crew of Euphoria Season 2 are yet to begin the shoot. However, we hope that they don’t take long.
In case the series plans to follow an annual release pattern, the cast will have to begin filming sooner this year. As the productions take around eight months to conclude, the shoot must start by October 2019. If not, fans may have to wait longer than a year to know what happens to Rue and Jules after they separated in Season 1.
What Will Happen Next Season?
Rue and Jules took two different paths at the end of the first installment. While both the character planned their epic runaway together, Rue developed second thoughts right before they had to leave. Jules got on the train, while the 17-year old drug addict denied to board. The latter went back home only to shove in a bunch of drugs again and ends up passing out.
We literally do not know what happens to the couple in the future. However, we hope that they reconcile by Euphoria Season 2. The next installment may cover Rue struggling with her drug addiction alongside her deteriorating health. Now that Jules is gone, she will struggle to move on. She may even attempt to find her in order to get her back.
On the other hand, Jules is now all alone in another city, also struggling with the separation. Will Rue find her way back to Jules in Euphoria Season 2? Will Jules return to the town again?
Euphoria Season 2: Release Date
It is probably too early for HBO to declare a release date. The finale of the debut season premiered on August 4, 2019. The television network may take a while to give us an exact date to wait. However, speculations believe that like a lot of show on HBO, Euphoria may have an annual release pattern. If so, fans will have to wait until June 2020 to watch more of the teen drama.
