Gentefied season 1 concluded with Ana and her first art exhibition. She is enjoying the exhibition but comes to know that Mama Fina’s Boyle Heights will soon become Monaco Terrace. After hearing this, she gets violent in public. However, this only makes her potential buyers more interested in her work. In the meantime, Erik starts worrying about being a father. Later he calms down after his newborn Delfina is born. For Chris, he is happy with the idea of managing and running Pop’s business along with Erik. Later on, he comes to know that his father, El Cucuy, has agreed to pay the expenses of his Parisian cooking school. By the end of season 1, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrest and detains Pop.
There are possibilities that Pop might not come back for Gentefied season 2. He also has a minor role in Narco: Mexico after playing a major role in the first installment. Gentefied Season 2 might mainly focus on Ana, Erik, and Chris’ personal growth without having Pop by their side. The first of this could be figuring out how they will protect Mama Fina’s. For the rest of the show, fans can expect that these three protagonists establish a new Boyle Heights and take it to another level with the culinary legacy. They will also keep pursuing their personal goals alongside doing all of this.
Along with this, Cousins’ parents might get into the picture in Gentefied season 2. Aside from Ana, whose mother has a fascinating storyline, other parents are absent from the show. However, season 1 finale saw Chris’ dad offering to pay for school. Erik’s parents will somehow come to play in the story too. So, we may get to see the cousins’ parents in Gentefied season 2.
