Grown-ish debuted on Freeform back in January 2018 only to be loved and adored by millions of fans. The series is a spin-off of ABC’s popular TV show, Black-ish. Lead character, Zoey Johnson decides to leave her family to go to college and hence, begin her journey to adulthood. However, adulthood isn’t as easy as it looks and she soon realizes that not everything goes her way once she leaves her nest.

The second installment of the popular sitcom took a year to return to the television. However, Freeform was pretty impressed with the way it performed with the audience. Hence, soon after Season 2’s January 2019 debut, the network renewed the series for a third run. The news came across the table at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour.
Meanwhile, the cast and crew took some while to begin filming for the third round. However, they kept us all informed about the production schedule through regular behind-the-scenes posts on social media.
What’s Happening Next In Grown-ish Season 3?
Grown-ish Season 3 will pick up the plot where it left in the previous installment. Besides, it must define the Season 2 finale cliffhanger. According to the official synopsis, the gang will return for junior year as confident, eager, and seasoned upper-classmen. Zoey and the girls (and Vivek) are moving into an off-campus home. However, they soon come across hundreds of real-life problems and begin to face the wrath of adulthood.
On the other hand, Grown-ish Season 3 won’t be as easy as we expect. The gang will soon begin to struggle with new problems this round. Moreover, they may also have to deal with the consequences of their big mistake last summer break. The third run will continue to explore different issues including college athletics, cultural appropriation, anxiety, toxic masculinity, burnout and more.

Well, Freeform’s short 15-seconds teaser reveals a lot about the latest installment. Someone around or from the gang is going to get pregnant this year. The video features someone sitting on the toilet-seat doing a pregnancy test. Soon, the person throws the test on the floor, revealing positive results. Well, she is now heading into the junior year with an unexpected surprise.
Some fans guess that the about-to-be mother can be Zoey. However, others argue that it can possibly be anyone from the group. Besides, chances suggest that a new character may be getting the surprise with her entry on to the show. What’s your guess? Who could the person be?
New Characters Join Grown-ish Season 3
Grown-ish Season 3 is set to welcome several new additions to the cast of the show. As of now, we know of three of them, Henri Esteve, Andrew Liner, and Raigan Harris. Known for his role in Amazon’s Homecoming, Esteve will be playing a new character, Javier, this season. On the other hand, Liner will join as a soft-spoken guy Rodney. Moreover, fans will get to watch All American fame Raigan Harris in an interesting part as Rochelle. All of these characters will have many important contributions to the plot.
