Freeform finally gives us a firm date to wait until Grown-ish Season 3 hits the screen. Aside from the release date, we now have some spoilers as well. Grown-ish Season 3: Renewal & Production Details
The popular sitcom debuted on television back in January 2018, while the second one took a year to hit the screen. However, soon after Season 2’s January 2019 premiere, the series was greenlit for a third installment. The renewal was announced at Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour. The cast and crew took a while to begin productions. Although they kept us informed through regular behind-the-scenes posts on social media.
Major Cast Additions!
The brand-new Grown-ish installment is set to introduce us to some new faces. As of now, we know of three recurring actors preparing to join the cast. Amazon’s Homecoming fame Henri Esteve will be playing Javier this season. The character is a well-educated Cuban Republican activist and a gorgeous graduation student whom Ana (Raisa) interns with at Cal U. Besides, Deadline describes Javier to be able to cross party lines with his unwavering morals and his James Dean mystique.
Another major cast addition includes newcomer Andrew Liner. Grown-ish Season 3 will feature him playing Rodney, a soft-spoken and confident guy with a charming personality. The character will be attracted to Sky (Bailey) in the upcoming season.
On the other hand, we’ll also get to see actress Raigan Harris portraying an opinionated, well-informed Cal U senior Rochelle. The character is also the member of the Black Student Union. What Will Happen Next?
The storyline of Grown-ish Season 3 will now pick-up from where it left in the previous run. Well, it will begin with defining the cliffhanger at Season 2’s finale. The gang returns for junior year as confident, eager, and seasoned upper-classmen, with Zoey and ger girls. Upon moving into an off-campus home, they soon come across real-life problems and begin to face the wrath of adulthood.
In fact, the problems will arise as soon as the season begins. The gang will be forced to deal with the consequences of their big mistakes before the summer break.
