The cast of On My Block Season 3 is finally on its way to be back on our screens again. Productions have begun, and actors seem to be enjoying their time on set. After some complications with the contracts, the filming delayed for a while. Hence, the installment may take a while to return this time. As of now, here’s everything we know so far.
The series is an exceptional coming-of-age story revolving around a unique set of high school friends. The teenagers go through a rollercoaster of emotions throughout their time in Freeridge. The fictional small town is much more complex than it initially looks. With its debut back in March 2018, On My Block won our hearts with its intricate storyline.
On My Block Season 3: Renewal
The debut installment of the show gained loads of praise and popularity. Aside from the love by fans, Season 1 received much appreciation from critics as well. The young cast gave out good performances in the second installment as well. With the amount of success Season 2 brought in, Netflix had to bring back the comedy-drama for a third run. Hence, the streaming giant announced the renewal by April 2019.
On My Block Cast Begins Production!
The third season of the series went through a lot of complications before going into productions. The cast members negotiated for a pay-rise equivalent to the salary of 13 Reasons Why Season 3 cast members. Since On My Block turned out to be almost as popular as Netflix’s mystery series, OMB actor demanded equal payrolls. This stalled the filming for a few months.
Netflix recently resolved the issues and gave the actors a rise in wages. However, their salary is still very much less than the 13RW cast members but its well-deserved. After the negotiations, they signed their respective contracts and began productions right away. As of now, the cast is currently shooting On My Block Season 3. Some of them have shared a few pictures from the S3 set.
Cast Member Upgraded To Series Regular
One of the fan-favorites on the show is upgraded from the position of a recurring character. Actor Julio Macias who plays the role of Spooky on the series will now be a series regular. The talented cast member will now have a major role to play on On My Block Season 3. Netflix is yet to reveal any further details about the same.
On My Block Season 3: Release Date
The complications related to the contracts are finally resolved. However, they caused a major delay in the production schedule. The cast members began filming a few months late. Hence, On My Block Season 3 may take a few months extra to hit the screens. Both the previous installment released in March 2018 and 2019, respectively. Hence, the third season may premiere by March to May 2020 this time.
Fans are already pumped up for On My Block Season 3. The first season left us all hanging on a crazy cliffhanger. However, the Season 2 finale was much more bizarre.
