Alvarez Family is on the way to their fans. With One Day At A Time Season 4 incoming on PopTV, and not on Netflix, fans are very much excited for the entire comedy and drama. Show’s parent streaming service, Netflix canceled the show after three incredible seasons run last year. Although, Pop TV came up and revived the show for its fourth run after four months of the cancelation.
One Day At A Time is a remake of the 1970s-80s Norman Lear series, focuses on a Cuban American family living in Los Angeles. The basic plot-line follows Ann, a working woman, raising her two children on her own after getting a divorce. The show is much more popular because of introducing the new recent issues in the show while keeping intact with the old premise and timelessness of the family. For this, One Day At A Time also got various accolades, including Emmy Award, Critics’ Choice Awards, and more.

One Day At A Time Season 4: In Works
After being dropped by Netflix, the fans got all infuriated as they wanted the show drama back. After lots and lots of online petitions and campaigns, the show got picked up by Pop TV for its fourth run. Although this happened for the first time that a show discarded by a streaming giant got picked up by a cable network. However, the news for revival filled in the fans with utter joy and enthusiasm as now they’ll get the Alvarez family back again. Also, the show is all set for filming in January 2020, as confirmed by the show-runner Gloria Calderon Kellett herself.

Gloria Calderon Kellett Signed By Amazon
The showrunner for One Day At A Time recently made a grand deal with Amazon Studios. As per the pact, Gloria Calderon Kellett will create and develop films and TV shows for the studio under her GloNation projects. Also, the projects developed under the GloNation banner will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video for the worldwide audience. The deal will commence its work in June 2020, when her current project with Sony Pictures Television wraps up.
About the deal, Vernon Sanders, the co-head of television for Amazon Studios came out as they are all delighted that Gloria will join the Amazon Studios family and excited to see the new projects she’ll bring to the Prime Video customers around the world.
One Day At A Time Season 4: Release In 2020

Last month at Vulture Festival, Pop TV announced the release schedule for the upcoming season of One Day At A Time. According to that, One Day At A Time Season 4 will premiere in March 2020. Although the actual date is yet to be out. The fourth season will premiere on Pop TV in March, and will later repeat on CBS. That is because CBS was the home channel of the original series that aired over 40 years ago.
Also, One Day At A Time Season 4 will now premiere on a cable network. Hence, all the 13 episodes will roll out every week on Pop TV, rather than full season landing. Moreover, the cable also got the legal rights for the previous seasons as well. Hence, they would air them ahead of the fourth season’s premiere.
