After a series of chilling episodes, Netflix & The CW now gearing up for Riverdale Season 4. The installment is in the making and will soon be back on our screens. As per the Riverdale tradition, a new big villain will create havoc in the town with the new season. Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa already warns that the future is going to get darker than ever for the show.
Riverdale debuted back in January 2017 to become one of the most famous teen dramas on the streamer. The television show is a re-imagination of world-popular Archie Comics. Here, actor KJ Apa plays the main character Archie alongside other leads. This includes Cole Sprouse, Camila Mendez, and Lili Reinhart as Jughead, Veronica and Betty. Season 4 is going to be tremendously difficult for the four of them.
Riverdale Season 4: Hiram’s Revenge On Veronica
The father-daughter duo, Hiram and Veronica Lodge have been in a complicated relationship since the beginning. It initially began with hearty family compassion but transformed into hatred sooner and sooner. As of now, showrunner Roberto reveals that the imprisoned dad is about to drop a very big bombshell on the leading lady. Moreover, no one — including her mayor mom Hermione Lodge can protect her this time.
Archie’s New Nemesis
Riverdale Season 4 will introduce us to Archie’s new nemesis. A new character, Dodger, is set to join the installment. Moreover, as Deadline reports, Canadian actor Juan Riedinger has been cast to play the troublemaker. His purposes and identity are yet unknown. However, he is just a goon and will only be a recurring character in the fourth season. Hence, despite him playing a major role, Dodger may not be the main villain for S4.
The New Big Villain
The major villains from the previous installment, the Black Hood, the Gargoyle King, and Penelope Blosson are all gone. The serial killer is dead, the Cooper imposter Chic is in jail, and lady Blosson went MIA last season. On the other hand, the farm can no longer be the only troublemakers in Riverdale Season. Hence, the installment may introduce another antagonist.
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa confirms that there has to be another villain in the upcoming installment. In fact, this time, the character will be the most dangerous antagonist in the history of the show.
Is There A Trailer Of Riverdale Season 4?
The CW and Netflix are yet to give us the plot and trailer of Riverdale Season 4. Moreover, the return of the show is near, and we still don’t have a teaser. However, the networks usually unveil the trailer a month before the release date. Hence, we may have to wait for a bunch of weeks to know more. Last two seasons of the series both debuted in October. Hence, Riverdale Season 4 is set to follow the show’s release pattern. The latest installment premieres October 9, 2019, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. And, a while later on Netflix.
