Amazon Prime’s one of the highly rated drama is back. ‘Sneaky Pete Season 3’ will be the next installment of the series by Amazon Prime. The streaming giant made the announcement at Television Critics Association summer press tour back in July 2018. Sneaky Pete is a crime drama created by The Breaking Bad star Bryan Cryston and David Shore.

The series stars Marius Josipovic (Giovanni Ribisi), a released convict who tries to leave his life behind and dodge the powerful gangster Vince (Bryan Cryston himself). For that, he adopts someone else’s identity to save himself. He enters the Murphy family as Pete Murphy, their long-lost son and Marius’s prison mate. However, after some time, he gets to know that the family itself is in big chaos and he is now stuck with it.
There have been some significant behind-the-scenes changes as well. Blake Masters has joined as the show-runner for the third season. He has taken over Graham Yost, who joined Sneaky Pete as executive producer and show-runner in the middle of the first season.
Sneaky Pete Season 3: Relocation from New York to Los Angeles
Sneaky Pete Season 3 will move its production to Los Angeles due to after-effects of tax credits. With this, the show has gained 9.2 million dollars tax credit. The California Film Commission announced the relocation of Sneaky Peak for the third season. The series is the 13th series to move from its native production place to California including Netflix’s The OA.
Plot Change After ‘s Death
The audience will witness the final appearance of Ricky Jay in the third season of Sneaky Pete. The renowned magician and actor was recurring for the role of T.H. Vignetti when he died on November 24, 2018. However, after that huge step-down, the show writer’s were trying to adjust the plot.
Cast Updates in Sneaky Pete Season 3
The Suits star Patrick J. Adams will join the cast for the upcoming season of Sneaky Pete, according to the reports. Adams will play Stefano Kilbane, an overbearing business tycoon. According to Deadline, the man is obsessed with fine art and is in drastic need for revenge.
Sneaky Pete will have more additions to cast this season. Comedy Central roast star Jeff Ross will play Doug Decker, also known as DC Doug. He will be a behind the scenes political power player who has a taste for high-end wine and decadence.
The last but not the least name in the cast update list is Efrat Dor. The Israeli actress will play Lizzie, an amoral con woman with boundless skills. She might be the match for Marius (Pete) as she is almost like him. They both are non-violent and skeptic.
Sneaky Pete Season 3 – Plot Details and Spoilers
Sneaky Pete Season 3 will continue where the previous season had left off. The final episode of the second season was left on a cliffhanger point. Julia Bernhardt (Marin Ireland) gets to know about Pete’s true identity. Meanwhile, the audience may also see some love connection between Taylor ( Shane McRae) and Shannon (Justine Cotsonas).
Graham Yost (former show-runner of Sneaky Pete) also made some revelation about the plot of the third season. According to Yost, they now have the chance to make a larger story about Marius and Bernhardt family. It’ll be interesting to see how Marius will continue to hide his identity while dealing with Vince.
When will Sneaky Pete Season 3 release?
The first season aired in January 2017 and the second one in March 2018. However, there has been some delay in production because of the death of Ricky Jay. Therefore, Sneaky Pete Season 3 is expected to premiere in spring 2019. However, Amazon Prime has not yet revealed the release date for the third season.
