The Haunting series opened up with the story of a haunted mansion from Shirley Jackson’s famous novel with the same name. Hill House became immensely popular throughout the world upon its discussion on the Netflix series. Jackson’s story blended with Flanagan’s astounding style of direction impressed millions of subscribers of the streamer and critics alike. Later on, the creator decided to pick up another storyline to feature in the sequel of his anthology show. It will be called The Haunting Of Bly Manor instead of the initial name.
The Haunting Of Hill House Season 2: Delayed Or Not?
The entire world is currently fighting with the tragic outbreak of the COVID-19 disease. As of early-May, over 3.3 million cases of the Coronavirus have emerged worldwide. Sadly, it has already taken the lives of more than 230,000 people. While humanity remains in quarantine, the economies of almost all the countries are under threat. The pandemic has had serious effects on the entertainment industry as well.
Netflix and other streaming platforms have already canceled and delayed their new productions. Hence, the fanbase of The Haunting series is worried about its future too. A large number of fans asked whether the streamer is planning to postpone the horror series or not. Mike Flanagan decided to answer one of them.
The showrunner mentioned in a tweet, that the filming of The Haunting Of Hill House Season 2 wrapped up back in February 2020. It is currently under post-production and the creator and his team are working from home. Fortunately, he also confirms that The Haunting Of Bly Manor is on schedule and at the moment, there are no reasons to delay it. Once they are done with the post-production, Netflix may announce a release date. Well, we hope that the circumstances remain favorable for the sequel later this year.

The Haunting Of Bly Manor: Plot Details [Spoilers]
The sequel of the critically-acclaimed show will move on from the plot of the first installment. The Haunting Of Hill House Season 2 will be loosely based on Henry James’ 1898 horror novella, The Turn Of The Screw. Well, we’ll be going back in time into another haunted mansion called the Bly Manor.
The basic plot of the second part will center around a governess assigned to take care of two kids. This time, the three of them will experience paranormal things while living in the mansion. Commendable creator Mike Flanagan intends to take inspiration from other works of author Henry James. Hence, the audience may get to see a few references from James’ other popular write-ups as well.

The Haunting Of Hill House Season 2: Release Date
As mentioned above, the Coronavirus outbreak may not affect the release of The Haunting Of Hill House Season 2 that much. Hence, the new episodes may arrive whenever Netflix is ready. Flanagan and the cast members previously confirmed that the series is set to return towards late-2020. At the moment, an October 2020 premiere date seems highly likely.
