It’s never too early to prepare for Halloween! ‘The Haunting Of Hill House Season 2’ is all set to return sooner this year. We’re finally moving out of Season 1’s haunted mansion, Hill House, to shift into another one. Moreover, Mike Flanagan is wrapping up the shoot of ‘The Haunting Of Bly Manor.’ So when exactly will we get to watch the new episodes? Here’s everything to know.
The debut season of Flanagan’s masterpiece introduces us to the Crain family and their experiences in Hill House. Based on Shirley Jackson’s 1959 novel, the series sets a unique premise with spine-chilling plot twists and emotional story developments. Being an anthology series, Season 2 will now shift its focus to another haunted mansion. This time, the plot will be inspired by the 1898 horror novella The Turn of the Screw by Henry James.
What Will Happen In ‘The Haunting Of Bly Manor?’
The story of ‘The Haunting Of Hill House Season 2’ will revolve around a governess who is hired to take care of two kids. While living in the Bly Manor, all three of them experience paranormal things living in the mansion. Over the course of decades, the story of the novella remains to be pretty controversial. Readers seem to have different opinions upon the paranormal angle of the plot. Well, now that Mike Flanagan is putting up his directorial perfection, we hope the series gives us all a better vision of the narrative.
On the other hand, the story of the book is actually set in the 1800s or even earlier. Chances suggest that, like the first season, Flanagan may shift the timeline of Season 2. The Haunting Of Hill House was based in the 21st century, while Shirley Jackson’s book wasn’t. This gives much liberty to the creator in handling the premise better. Hence, The Haunting Of Bly Manor may pick up its plot from recent times instead.
The Haunting Of Hill House Season 2: All Cast Additions!
While ‘The Haunting Of Hill House Season 2’ is leaving Season 1’s character behind, it will feature some of the actors. Flanagan is bringing back his favorite set of performers from the debut season. This includes the star of the show, Victoria Pedretti, who was previously seen as Nellie Crain. She will now pick up the central role of Dani, the governess in Bly Manor.
On the other hand, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Kate Siegel, who were seen as Luke and Theo in Season 1, will also be back. Both of them will play lead roles in ‘The Haunting Of Hill House Season 2.’ While Oliver’s character is specified as Peter, Flanagan is yet to describe Kate’s role. The Haunting Of Bly Manor will also feature Henry Thomas (Hugh Crain) in a brand-new character as well. Whereas, Catherine Parker, who performed the short role of Poppy Hill, will have enough screen time this time.
Aside from the Season 1 alums, the second installment will also feature some brand new faces. In the central role of the two kids, Miles and Flora, fans will see young actors Benjamin Ainsworth and Amelie Smith. Whereas, actress T’Nia Miller and popular actor Rahul Kohli will join Season 2 in lead roles. Another crucial cast addition includes talented actress Amelia Eve.
And if you know THE TURN OF THE SCREW, you know how critical the characters of Miles and Flora are… I’m so grateful that we found BENJAMIN AINSWORTH and AMELIE SMITH, who will be amazing in these crucial roles.
In a recent interview with Nylon, actress Victoria Pedretti gave her fans some exclusive insight into the second season. Recently seen in Netflix’s You Season 2, Pedretti talked about Bly Manor. She reveals that ‘The Haunting Of Hill House Season 2’ is much more intense than the first installment. Besides, she is playing an entirely different character this time. For the role, he had to dye her hair honey blonde.
She’s been an important part of the first season and still believes that ‘The Haunting Of Bly Manor’ will be scarier. Well, we hope her review turns out to be relatable for fans as they watch the new episodes. But when is Season 2 releasing?
