The cast and crew began filming for The Umbrella Academy Season 2 by June 2019. They kept up involved in their schedule with a bunch of behind-the-scenes pictures on social media. Productions for the latest recently concluded on November 23, 2019. Actors and showrunners took to their Instagram and Twitter to let us know that Season 2 is coming soon.
Latest Cast Additions
The second installment of Netflix’s pop show is set to have a few new characters. The streamer recently revealed that we would get to see three new characters. Actress Ritu Arya will now play the role of a highly unpredictable and sarcastic girl, Lila. She is defined as a chameleon who’s as colorful as she is insane. Besides, the schemer also has a twisted sense of humor. Arya is popular for her roles in Humans, Sherlock and Daphne.
On the other hand, we’ll get to see talented actor Yusuf Gatewood playing naturally confident and charismatic Raymond. The character is a loyal husband, and everyone adores him. We’ve previously seen the actor in popular shows like The Originals, Wonder Boys, and Good Omens.
Marin Ireland is also joining the cast of The Umbrella Academy Season 2. Her character, Sissy, is a fearless and young Texan mother. She is eager to rediscover what life and love have to offer her. Marin is known for her roles in Homeland and Glass Chin.

Netflix is yet to announce a firm release date of the upcoming series. However, since the filming is wrapped pretty early, the installment may not take much time to return. Although it may somehow take at least a few months for post-production. Fans can expect the second season to hit the screens as early as Spring 2020.
