Young Sheldon Season 3 is definitely on the cards. CBS renewed this show for two more seasons making its return possible later this year. And it is going to be an adventurous ride for Sheldon and his family. Young Sheldon finished its second season on the same date as The Big Bang Theory’s last episode. Chuck Lorre, the man behind The Big Bang Theory, is the creator of this show as well.
Interviewers have asked show creator, Chuck Lorre about other spin-offs related to the early life of other characters. But he believed that it requires a strong spin-off idea which the crew had failed to give a shape. Chuck was not interested in the money making business. Therefore, he needed a very creative reason to build a spin-off.
Fans have been witnessing their favorite character’s life before he went on to complete his Ph.D. Young Sheldon, set in 1989, shows the growth of Sheldon as a high school student in the state of Texas. He stays with his parents, George Sr. and Mary, his two siblings, and his Meemaw. Georgie and Missy, Sheldon’s siblings, do play a vital role in the series.
The child prodigy at the end of season 2 was a nine-year-old kid. Now, as the Young Sheldon Season 3 considers the passage of time, Sheldon could be seen as an eleven-year-old. Which means he would soon be joining college. The universities noticing his advanced brainpower is also an indication of his upcoming college days.
Young Sheldon Season 3: Changes in Sheldon’s Family
In the previous episodes, it was pretty clear that George Sr. and Mary were going through a rough patch. Be it financial issues or Mary getting pregnant and losing the baby. It is not looking all good when it comes to Cooper household. Sheldon’s parents’ regular fights would traumatize him often.
Fans can expect that this situation will not get any better and instead will be worse. And, the struggle would come down to the position where George starts cheating on Mary. We have already noticed its result in the parent show, The Big Bang Theory. There, Sheldon tells that his father had cheated on his mother, and eventually, they both got separated.
The Second Season Teased About The Other Cast Members
The ending of Season 2 gave the fans a sense of joy and emotions running through them. Sheldon was all alone at his home listening to the radio broadcast of Nobel Prize dedication. But at the same time, the show introduced young to be friends of Sheldon at their respective places. Young Leonard was listening to the radio with an inhaler at his table. Howard playing video games, and Raj doing his homework in his spaceship themed room.
On the other hand, young Penny and Bernadette were shown sleeping while young Amy was reading a book. This introduction of all other characters showed that Sheldon was not alone and will soon get what destiny has for him. It represented the saying that ‘What is yours, will come your way.’
Young Sheldon Season 3 Release Date
Young Sheldon has got a renewal for the next two seasons. Which means according to the current trends, CBS will most likely air Young Sheldon Season 3 around the September month of this year. Also, the time slot for the show will probably remain the same Thursday slot. Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Iain Armitage and all other part of the cast will be returning to set for production this summer.
