Although Jacob Roloff maintains a low profile on social media, his latest post was an important one. In it, he talked of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA). Unfortunately, he was a victim of the same when he was a reality show star in Little People Big World. Moreover, one of the show’s executive producers turned out to be the perpetrator of the alleged crime. The former cast member used to be a young boy during that time. In the post, Roloff recalled some words from his previous statement in 2020. That’s when he talked about his childhood trauma for the first time.
He had said that his disclosure is a “positive moment” for him and another step towards a “brighter future”. In addition, Jacob shed light on how he’s doing a year after this unfortunate reveal. A year after his statement, the ex LPBW star opened up again. As per TV Season & Spoilers, he claimed feeling so free of a “useless burden”. Moreover, the 24-year-old now feels much closer to his wife, Isabel. In fact, he has also gained a lot of confidence now and is much more “open”. This change also helped him become a “dad”.
While talking about his newborn son Mateo, he showered gratitude to the little one. The ex-on-screen celebrity loves him more than he could have “guessed, hoped or dreamed”. At last, he also provided details about an organization for followers who have struggled with similar incidents.
LPBW: Jacob & Father Matt Roloff Speak Up On The CSA Incident
In 2020, Jacob Roloff had talked about the tragic case for the first time. While doing so, he posted an official statement on his social media. The Oregon native spoke of the incident and recalled it happened after a long time “grooming process”. He also clarified that he isn’t speaking up for “publicity”. Furthermore, the former star hoped his abuser is “never allowed near children”. The Roloff family member then shed light on matters of sexual abuse and stated that it could happen to “anyone” and at “anytime.” He also condemned the social stigma that surrounds these acts that halt people from speaking up on such things.
Jacob’s father, Matt Roloff, also addressed the issue. It happened during an interview that was focused on fatherhood. He mentioned that the incident came to light for the family merely a few days before the official post. As predicted, it was an emotional affair for the entire family. The Roloff child disclosed this painful matter on a group chat through a text. The famous father said it was a “heartbreaking” disclosure for the family as no one even had a hint about this.
