On-going Rumors About Dragon Ball Super Season 2
Not long ago there was a rumor circulating about Dragon Ball Super Season 2. A report by Newsweek states that pre-production of the next set of the episodes has already started since September last year. The reason behind the early production is to avoid the problems with the animation quality of the original series run. Added, Dragon Ball Super Season 2 is set to release in July 2019.
Also, it suggests that the creator who drew the character models for the recently released Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie will be doing the same for the next season.
Later when the rumor reached the Toei Animation studio, they discarded the rumor right away. Toei Animation’s Media Representative David Syatt told that no episodes are in production right now.
The Production Studio Is Busy With Other Projects
Right now, the Toei Animation is busy in making mythological action anime Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac with a 12 episode run. Furthermore, it is going to release on 19th July 2019. And rumors have mistaken its release date with the premiere of Dragon Ball Super Season 2.
Possibilities of Dragon Ball Super Season 2
When fans talk about anime, Dragon Ball is the series that has the highest number of fans worldwide. And Dragon Ball Super isn’t different, this itself is the biggest reason behind Toei Animation coming up with new Dragon Ball series, movies, and games.

In the last scene where Goku was about to leave, Zen-Oh sama asks him, “Will you be back?” Goku promised that he’ll be back for more fights. This could be the hint creators dropped about the sequel of the series.
Moreover, the movie: Dragon Ball Super Broly has made its place in one of the top grossing anime movies. The film depicts one of the intense fights in the whole series featuring both Goku and Vegeta. Broly’s powered up green aura has the same level of Super Saiyan Blue. Locked into the battle, fans saw the most dangerous opponent Goku and Vegeta have faced.
Dragon Ball Super Season 2 could be the next project of Toei animation after the enormous success of Dragon Ball Super Broly.
