Will There Be A Season 5 Of 1000 Lb Sisters?

The latest season of the popular weight-loss-centric show has completed its air with the tenth episode. It featured Tammy Slaton finally tying the knot with her rehab lover boy. Well, Season 4 ended on such a point that fans can’t wait to watch more. Many details about their real-time storyline have been out, which is why viewers are excited to see things play out on the screens. Sadly, TLC is yet to renew the next season. Will there ever be a Season 5 of 1000 Lb Sisters?

Well, the answer is most likely a yes. This is because the show has been pretty successful and has a huge fan following. TLC is making quite a lot of money from the reality series and would probably want to keep it rolling. Besides, reports say that the network is already trying to rope in Amy and Tammy again. Producers have even offered them an international trip, which was supposed to keep them from leaving the show. Hence, fans can consider 1000 Lb Sisters Season 5 renewed even though the channel is yet to make an announcement.

1000 Lb Sisters Season 5: Release Date

After four dramatic seasons, Amy and Tammy Slaton’s reality TV show has become one of the most successful productions of TLC. Within no time after Season 4’s end, fans are asking for more episodes. Sadly, the expected 1000 Lb Sisters Season 5 release date is quite far away. Judging by the premiere pattern of the previous installments, every season takes a year to return to the screens. Hence, no new episode might release until next year. Season 5 of 1000-Lb Sisters will probably release between January and March 2024.

What Will Happen In Tammy & Amy’s Storyline In 1000 Lb Sisters Season 5?

There was a time when fans were really worried about Tammy Slaton and didn’t think that she’d survive any longer. But everything changed in Season 4. Since her medical emergency back in late-2021, the 1000-Lb Sisters star spent all her time in an Ohio-based health facility. Although it was tough for her to be away from her family, Tammy didn’t quit this time. She achieved her goals, lost a whole lot of weight, and turned her life around. The 36-year-old quickly found herself a partner, too, and got married. Her rehab wedding was featured in the last episode of the fourth installment.

TV Season & Spoilers has previously released many reports about Tammy and Amy’s lives ahead of what happened in Season 4. This includes Tammy moving out of rehab after her wedding. She reached a 300-lb weight loss mark after surgery and decided that it was time to get out. Reports say that the elder Slaton sister bought a $75,000 house in Kentucky. But her husband, Caleb Willingham, is yet to make it out and might say in rehab for a long time. Speculations say that this is causing a lot of trouble in their relationship.

Meanwhile, Amy and Michael Halterman’s marriage has come crumbling down after they welcome their second child. As per a recent report, the latter went ahead and filed for divorce in mid-March 2023. It has not been finalized yet. It is said that Michael’s lack of parenting skills and effort was Amy’s breaking point. Besides, he didn’t want their kids to film for 1000 Lb Sisters Season 5. The exact reason for their separation is still unknown, but it will most probably become a part of the coming set of episodes. As of now, Tammy and Amy are also living together. This has created issues between them too, which will be entertaining to watch next season.

Season 5 Cast Members: Will Amy & Tammy Quit?

Earlier this year, some reports related to Amy and Tammy wanting to quit came up. This was mainly because the sisters believed that they were being paid very less. Apparently, Tammy was only getting around $3000-$4000 per episode, and there are only ten or twelve of them in a season. This means she survives with just $30,000-$40,000 an entire year. The network didn’t help her with the expensive rehab fees either. But TLC is making quite a lot from selling the story of the Slaton sisters. So, there were negotiations happening between them and the producers.

Eventually, the network did not increase their pay. Instead, TLC decided to send Tammy and Amy on a vacation to Greece. So, the sisters are not leaving the show anymore and will most likely be a part of 1000 Lb Sisters Season 5. The Greece trip might become a part of the upcoming installment.
