1000 Lb Sisters stars Tammy Slaton, and Amy Slaton Halterman have had two very different types of weight loss journeys on the show. While Amy finally managed to get on track and shed some pounds off her body, Tammy is still struggling. The older sister eventually gained more weight by the end of the second season. However, it seems like the 665 lbs celebrity is finally getting the help she needs at an assisted living facility. Yet, there have been instances when she’s been jealous of her sister’s progress. In fact, in an incident, Tammy even called her younger sibling a “whale.” Keep reading to know what actually happened.
1000 Lb Sisters: Tammy Calls Amy A “Whale,” Can’t Get Into The Pool
Amy Slaton has had a very inspirational journey on the TLC show. Even though it was initially hard, the 33-year-old stuck to her diet and achieved her first weight goal. Due to it, she was able to get the weight loss surgery. Since then, Slaton fulfilled her life-long dream of becoming a mother and started a small happy family with husband, Michael Halterman. However, looking at her progress, it’s understandable for Tammy to get a little jealous. Now, there are things and activities that Amy can do and Tammy can’t.
One of such activities was getting into the pool. Soapdirt points out that Amy and Tammy Slaton took a trip to a pool alongside Michael. However, since the pool had stairs, Tammy couldn’t walk down in it. Hence, only Amy and Michael could get into the pool while the elder sister watched them by the side. As Tammy sat in her wheelchair on the edge, she starts crying, watching her sister having a good time. Setting aside her lack of effort to lose weight, it’s understandable that the 665-lb star feels bad.
Looking at her sister cry, Amy checks up on her and asks her if she’s alright. Tammy tells her younger sibling that she looks like a “whale.” To this, Amy replies that she’s “Shamu, baby.” The light-hearted comments just brighten up the mood as the sisters break out into laughter. Yet, Tammy still feels bad for her condition and not being able to do the things that people around her can.
1000 Lb Sisters: Is Tammy At An Assister Living Facility?
Well, the last episode of the previous season was quite sad for all Tammy fans. They’ve all been rooting for her ever since she first appeared on the show. However, unfortunately, instead of losing weight, Tammy has rather gained some pounds. This extra weight can eventually become fatal for her. Hence, the doctors advised her to seek a living facility and better treatment to save her life.
In recent news, Tammy has finally been admitted to an assisted living facility. The 1000 Lb Sisters star confirmed that she’s getting the help she needed in some of her recent Tiktoks. In fact, Amy also assured that her sister is getting proper treatment and fans don’t need to worry about her. Well, as of now, we hope that Tammy gets on the right track and is able to step into the pool in the future.
