Baylen Out Loud: Baylen Opens Up About Her Deepest Fears And Living With OCD

Baylen Dupree, star of TLC’s Baylen Out Loud, recently opened up about her ongoing battle with OCD. She explained that negative, intrusive thoughts often creep into her mind, sometimes spiraling into fears about death. Even simple tasks, like getting into an Uber, trigger worry, as she imagines car accidents or serious injuries. These fears sometimes keep her from leaving the house. Her OCD also turned her into a germophobe, making her avoid drinking after her husband and skip sweaty hugs or handshakes, since she believes hands carry more germs than people realize.

Baylen also deals with Tourette syndrome, which she calls “the iceberg above the water,” since people only see part of what she experiences. She also feels the urge to repeat small tasks, like turning a shower knob or opening a door three times, to ease her anxiety. Medication and years of therapy have helped her manage these symptoms and live a more independent life today.

Baylen Out Loud: Is More Filming Going On In Myrtle Beach With Baylen & Colin?

Season 3 of Baylen Out Loud follows Baylen and Colin’s wedding preparation. Recently, fans have spotted Baylen and Colin shopping, eating out, and exploring the town as filming wraps up. The midseason finale takes the couple down to Myrtle Beach, which is new for Baylen. She doesn’t travel far without her family. This is the first time on the show that Baylen travels far, possibly for Colin’s realtor job or for personal reasons.

This comes as good news for the locals. More episodes are coming. The city of Myrtle Beach has also confirmed the show can film parts of Season 4 in the area, with more possibly on the way. A TLC spokesperson said upcoming episodes will show Baylen and Colin spending time in Myrtle Beach. This includes house hunting as they think about their future. In a recent episode, Baylen found out that Colin’s internship with a local real estate company could turn into a permanent move. In the trailer, she feels overwhelmed by the prospect.

Baylen also loses her medication as the trailer features. This alarms her parents, who think she cannot function well without her meds. Moreover, TLC’s promotional clips already show the couple checking out local spots. One of them is Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, where they play cornhole and enjoy the sights.
