Chrisley Knows Best: Todd Looses Big Lawsuit While In Prison
Todd is whiling his time in prison. But that doesn’t mean his hard days are over. On the contrary, they are growing in number. Though he has an appeal upcoming, there are other lawsuits as well. One of the ongoing lawsuits has had a major development recently. It turns out Todd faced a big loss.
One of Todd’s hobbies was threatening lawsuits and slandering people in his podcast. This hobby might have come to bite him in his ass as Amy Doherty-Heinze. She had alleged that the Chrisley Knows Best star had defamed the Georgia Department of Revenue. Amy said he had done so on his podcast and filed a case against him.
It turns out that Amy won the lawsuit. Yahoo and WSB-TV2 revealed that the jury voted in Amy’s favor. In fact, the court has even ordered Todd to pay a big sum of money. He had two charges of “libel” and “slander.” So the star has to pay Amy “compensatory damages of $350,000.” The Chrisley Knows Best star must also pay “punitive damages of $170,000” along with $755,000 in attorney fees.
The fans had much fun at the star’s expense. A Reddit OP reported about Todd’s loss, asking if “he will ever learn to keep his big mouth shut.” Others also commented, saying he would have to pay a lot to “the state of Georgia.” A few others called it “a preview of” Tood’s upcoming appeal. They called it “Karma.”
