Chrisley Knows Best: Julie’s Lawyer Expects Her To Return Home By Next Summer Or Spring!
Chrisley Knows Best stars Julie and Todd have been struggling to get out of the prison. They have made numerous efforts to reduce their sentencing to prove their innocence. Previously, they appealed to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court. Fans have been looking forward to getting good news about their favorite stars. Fortunately, the court ruled that they didn’t find enough evidence to prove Julie’s involvement before 2007 in the case.
She was ordered to spend 7 years behind bars for the $30 million bank fraud scheme. However, the court sent Julie’s case back to the lower court for resentencing after finding an error in the calculation of her total sentence. Recently, Julie’s attorney opened up about the big win. He called it a “big, big deal,” even though it may look like a “narrow” issue to many.
The reality TV star’s lawyer was happy with the decision as it could help reduce her time behind bars. As per Radar Online, Julie’s total sentencing was already reduced by ten months last year because of her good behavior. Hence, her lawyer feels that she could also return home as early as “next spring or summer.” Moreover, Surgent noted that his client’s sentence may be “significantly knocked off by 1-2 years.
He believed that it would allow her to spend the last 6 months or years of her sentencing at a halfway house. Julie’s lawyer was confident that sending her to a halfway house would help her visit her family and work so that she could return at night. Further, he added, “I believe she’s looking at a reduced sentence.”
