Last year, a documentary, Shiny Happy People, also came out about the toxic religious teachings practiced in the family. It didn’t help the super-sized family mend their reputation.
Despite this, the adult kids have their lives sorted. Most of them have refrained from addressing their brother’s imprisonment and have been focussing on their family life. One such pair is Jed and Katey Duggar. They aren’t letting negativity bring them down as they have lots to celebrate lately. This includes their third pregnancy!
Duggar News: Jed & Katey Announce They’re Having Twins At Their Gender Reveal Party!
Jed and Katey Duggar have not shied away from showcasing their love story to Duggar News followers. It’s been many years since they announced their proposal and also live-streamed their wedding ceremony. Since then, the couple has already become parents twice to their elder son, Truett, and daughter Nora. The couple vlogged their third gender reveal party and invited all the Duggars.
The couple initially asked everyone in the family to guess whether they would have a boy or a girl. Little did they know that the reveal was going to be something much more unexpected. Jed and Katey happily announced that they were expecting twins. Following this, they also popped some confetti. The color within it was pink, meaning they would be welcoming twin baby girls.
What’s interesting is that Jedidiah also has a twin brother, Jeremiah. Duggar News followers who have watched Counting On and 19 Kids And COunting would know this. Hence, Jed knew how twins have a “special bond.” He was excited and noted how their kids, Truett and Nora, had no idea how their lives were going to change after welcoming the twin sisters.

While most of the Duggar siblings have gone on to live their lives, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have maintained a low-key profile. The pair has only given public statements since their eldest son, Josh Duggar, went to prison for being guilty of possessing CSAM. It’s been quite rare for Duggar News followers to catch a glimpse of the parents. But everyone was delighted to see them together at Jed and Katey’s gender reveal party.
When Jed asked Jim Bob about the gender of the baby, he wanted to have a grandson. He had mentioned how he and Michelle were grandparents to 17 girls and 16 boys. Hence, to even out that score, the Duggar patriarch was looking forward to having one more boy. But it was indeed a delightful moment for him and Michelle both when they found out they would be welcoming twin granddaughters.
